Hope D. Blackwell Wekati, Founder
A mother of five and grandmother of five, Hope D. Blackwell Wekati is called and anointed by God to reach the lost and equip the believer for victorious and purposeful living. She accepted her call to ministry in 1996. After several years of prayer, growth and service in the Kingdom of God, in October 2003 Back to the Garden Ministries began, which is a global para-church ministry, which shares the gospel message of Jesus Christ, while empowering people to become spiritually, emotionally, and socially stable and productive members of their society. Hope is also the author of five books; The Back to the Garden Purpose Series (The Man, The Woman, & The Marriage) all published in 2003, The Essentials of Effective Evangelism written in 2008 and used for Evangelism training in churches locally and globally Most recently she authored, The Purposed Woman, Transformational Truths for Purposeful Living, published in March 2012 which has been touching the lives of women and winning many to Christ. Hope's unique ad powerful testimony of deliverance and healing from many demons and strongholds produced in her youth, is evidence of the power of Jesus Christ to save, heal, and transform everyone who believes,
repents and responds to His Word and His call.
Since 2006 Hope has traveled to countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe doing the work of missions and evangelism, serving women, and assisting Pastors and Christian leaders in poverty stricken and remote areas in advancing the kingdom of God. She is a true missionary and has a great passion for leaders who are often forgotten and lack the resources and partnerships to extend their reach and meet the needs of those in their communities.
After over 20 years as a single serving the purposes of God, in December of 2022 Hope was joined in a holy matrimony to
Rev. Timothy I. Wekati of Kenya and merged into one life, one vision
and one mission. Afterwhich Back to the Garden Ministries, was renamed The Garden Global Ministries, Inc. opening it's Kenya branch in 2024. The Wekati's greatest desire is for people to experience the unconditional love of God and be drawn into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, where they are encouraged, equipped and empowered to grow into healthy and victorious disciples and examples of His power until His glorious return to earth.
By the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, Timothy and Hope live a life of faithful service to God and His purposes.
Rev. Timothy I. Wekati, Overseer
Timothy I. Wekati was born in a Christian family in the Western Part of Kenya and raised by his grandparents. He was born again in 1996 in the 11th grade. Upon graduating High School, he served as a church member and Worship Minister in Kimilili, followed by a transfer to Kitale where he served with Ministers from Congo. Timothy went to Bungoma to attend Grace Community Bible School, where he graduated and served as a Ministry Technician, Driver and Librarian. In 2002 he planted The Logos Ministries in Kitale, where he raised sons whom he left the church to in 2008. In 2010 he planted a second church in Eldoret, which experienced tremendous growth. Timothy continued his education and training throughout the years at John Maxwells Leadership Academy, Covenant Bible School,
and Pan African Christian University.
Timothy relocated to Nairobi in 2018 and was blessed to serve churches and businesses in areas of leadership development and the area of Worship. In 2021 he traveled to the United States where he eventually met Rev. Hope D. Blackwell. After several months the Lord made His will known and Timothy and Hope were married in Dec 2022. Under the leadership and instruction of the Holy Spirit, in October 2023 they were sent to Kenya to launch the Africa base
of The Garden Global Ministries.
God has graced Timothy in two major fields of service: Leadership - Training of church leaders and corporations for effective functioning, and Worship - Raising Christian Believers in the Understanding of Worship, Training Music Ministers in instrumentation
and vocals production.
